ワダコーヘー

愛知県出身。社会人経験を経て富山、神奈川でガラス工芸を学び、現在は神奈川県にて制作。
シンプルなデザインを軸に、くびれ、丸みなど多様なアクセントを効かせた、さりげなくも目を引く造形が特徴的。日頃からノートにアイデアを書き留めて実践し、新しい造形に活かすなど、基本を大事にしつつ作品に磨きをかけ続ける職人的な堅実さが、作品からも感じられる。仄かにガラスにのったグレーや茶などの色も、奇をてらわない洗練された造形美をより一層際立たせている。

2010年普通科大学卒業、一般企業に就職
2012年富山ガラス造形研究所入学
2014年同所卒業、瀬戸市新世紀工芸館ガラス科入学
2016年同所卒業、舞台装置制作会社に勤務
2018年同社退社、彩グラススタジオに勤務
2021年彩グラススタジオ退社、横浜市に工房設立

Kohe Wada

Mr. Wada studied glass art in Toyama and Kanagawa after working in the corporate field, and currently works in Kanagawa Pref. He adds subtle yet eye-catching shapes such as curves and roundness to simple designs. With earnest craftsmanship, he habitually writes down ideas in notebooks and applies them in his new works. The hint of grey and brown in the transparent glass further accentuate his works’ unpretentious, refined beauty of form.
