重松歩

愛知県出身。多治見市陶磁器意匠研究所を修了後、ガラスの粉を石膏型に詰めて窯で溶かし成形するパート・ド・ヴェール技法での制作を開始する。ひとつひとつの作品に時間をかけて完成させるこの技法だからこそ、より愛着をもって制作に臨むことができると語る。作品は、花の一瞬一瞬を切り取った姿を表現している。作品には用途を示す名前をつけず、花の名前にすることで、うつわの使い方を使い手の発想に委ね、使い手それぞれの暮らしに溶け込む作品づくりを目指す。

Ayumi Shigematsu

After completing Tajimi city pottery design and technical center, Ms. Shigematsu has been making “pâte de verre”: the technique of pressing glass powders into a mold and fusing them into desired shapes. Since it is a very time-consuming method, she says that she feels more attached to her own works. She features flowers as motifs and also for the names of her works, which lets the users imagine their usage freely in their daily lives.
