都築明
サイズ感や色まで、スタイリッシュさよりも「食器としての使いやすさ」を追求したうつわを制作されています。
和・洋・中どんな料理も自然に受け止められる、そんなうつわを目指しているそうです。
今使っている釉薬も、「白」に代わって料理を受け止める色と質感を模索し、たどり着いたもの。全体の佇まいは洗練されていながらも、縁が欠けにくいような厚みにとどめ、汚れが付きにくいようにオイル仕上げをするなど、工夫が凝らされています。
家庭では料理と暮らしのあいだに静かに寄り添い、レストランではシェフの想いを乗せて料理を引き立てる。都築さんのうつわは、使うほどに良さが立ち上がってきます。

Akira Tsuzuki
Mr. Tsuzuki pursues usability rather than style in terms of size and color.
He aims to create tableware that can naturally complement any type of cuisine.
The glaze he currently uses is the fruit of his earnest search for a color and texture that would replace white to better complement the food. The overall appearance is sophisticated, yet the edges are kept thick enough to prevent chipping, and oil-finishing makes the products resistant to stains, all of which are meticulous considerations.
At home, Mr. Tsuzuki's tableware quietly blends into our daily culinary scene, and at restaurants it enhances the beauty of the food, conveying the chef's thoughts to the diners. The more you use his tableware, the more it appears tasteful.
